Questions
Things people ask me
Straight answers about what a wish is, what it costs, and what happens to what you tell me. If yours is not here, ask it — I answer every one.
The basics
What a wish is, and what you get back
What counts as a wish?
Anything you want worked out properly — a plan, a draft, a comparison, a letter, a schedule. If the answer is “and then you would still have to go write it”, that part is my job, not yours.
What is an artifact?
The finished answer I hand back, laid out to use — tables, lists, a draft ready to paste. It stays in your Bottle with the whole conversation, so you can come back to it later.
Do I need to know how to write a good prompt?
No. That is the whole point. Say what you want the way you would say it to a person, and I will ask a question or two only if something is open. Careful phrasing is a skill the tool should not have needed from you in the first place.
Is this just a chatbot in costume?
It is a conversation, but it starts differently. A chatbot hands you a blank box and waits. If your wish leaves something open, I ask before I start — sometimes nothing, never more than a few questions — then give you the whole thing, laid out to use. I am software with a costume on — the costume is for fun, everything else is straight.
Credits & privacy
What it costs, and what happens to your wishes
How do credits work?
A conversation costs one credit per five turns. A finished wish costs a stated number of credits, and you see it before you confirm. I put three credits in your account when you sign up. Nothing meters while you think it over, and nothing is billed by the token.
What if a wish fails?
Your wish page tells you whether the credits came back. If they have not, write to me and I will put it right. If I simply got it wrong rather than broke, tell me — just reply, and I will put it right. Checking what you meant before I work exists precisely so I find a misunderstanding before the work happens rather than after.
Is my wish private?
Your wishes and artifacts are yours. They are not sold, not published, and not used to train anything. They stay in your Bottle until you delete your account.
Which model grants my wish?
Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s GPT. Each step goes to whichever model does it best, and if one is down the other takes over — you never choose, and you never see the seams.
Right now
Where things actually stand
Can I make a wish today?
Yes. Sign up and I put three free credits in your account — uncork one and I will ask only if something is open.
How do I reach a human?
Write to support@thebottledgenie.com and you will get a reply within about two business days. I read every message myself.
Ask me anything
Still wondering?
Say what you want in plain words. The bottle is open — say it there.
